About the National Association of Manufacturers Prosperity Project

WHAT IS THE PROSPERITY PROJECT?
The Prosperity Project gives employers the tools, tactics and training to execute winning strategies on issues and elections. Information is delivered via a web-based communication program that empowers employees with customized information about the policies and people that impact their jobs and industry – and prepares them to be better informed voters.  Click here to learn more about the Prosperity Project.

WHY DO I NEED A SITE OF MY OWN WHEN I CAN ALREADY ACCESS THE ASSOCIATION PROSPERITY PROJECT SITE?
Because employees respond more positively to political messages from their own employers than from any other source. In 2004, there were nearly 12 million voters who said the information they received from their employer was the most credible they received during the election – an increase of 44 percent over 2002. In fact, 53 percent of voters surveyed wished their employers would provide more information about issues and how they impact their jobs; 24 percent said that employer-provided information made them more likely to vote.

“Just as it is your civic duty to vote, I think it’s the company’s duty to encourage employees to vote by giving us the information to be a more informed voter.”

Whether the vote is for a candidate or a piece of legislation, political victory for American business will continue to be achieved by narrow margins. You can join the revolution in business political involvement and provide the tools to your employees that will help them monitor progress on key issues, tell their elected officials how they feel, keep up with the latest action on their priorities (and yours), register to vote, learn where candidates stand on the issues, get an absentee ballot, find their polling place and more – all with the simple click of a mouse.
