Mission & Goals:

 Mission:

The Colorado Prosperity Project seeks to improve Colorado’s business climate by mobilizing the power of Colorado’s business leaders to influence government decisions at both the state and federal level.

The overarching goal of the project is to foster a prosperous and sustainable future for Colorado.  We know that Colorado has tremendous economic potential, that our problems are not insurmountable.  We believe that to sustain a strong economy in Colorado a healthy public sector needs a strong private sector.

Why is there a need for this type of program?

1. Employers and Employees are the backbone of Colorado's economy, each day laws are written which impact and sometimes regulate Colorado's industries. Worker's need a place where they can come to receive information about the issues, candidates, and ballot initiatives that impact their livelihood and prosperity.

2. In 2006, exit-polling nationwide showed that nearly 80% of employees who voted wanted their employer to provide them with information on issues and candidates. The Colorado Prosperity Project wants to help those employers accomplish this.

3. The past few election cycles have shown that Coloradans are voting in higher numbers than ever before. With higher voter participation levels comes an increased need to provide voters with more information on the issues that impact their livelihood.

4. Changing leadership at both the state and federal level is not an uncommon occurrence.
Despite these changes, the business community in Colorado must unite and stay informed on issues that our elected officials face. Our interests must be protected and so our legislators can hear from those whom they represent to keep Colorado a business friendly place to live.

How you can get involved...

The Colorado Prosperity Project we will keep you informed about legislation, regulations, candidates, ballot initiatives, and news that impact your industry.
