Presidential Debate Schedule

Sept. 26 - First Presidential Debate
Hofstra University - Hempstead, NY
Moderator - Lester Holt, NBC

Format: The first debate will be split into six segments, 15 minutes each. Each segment will open with a question, and each candidate will have two minutes to respond. After which, candidates may then respond to each other.

Topics: "America's Direction," "Achieve Prosperity," and "Securing America" 
 

Oct. 4 - Vice Presidential Debate
Longwood University - Farmville, VA
Moderator: Elaine Quijano, CBS

Format: The Vice Presidential will be split into nine segements, about 10 minutes each. Each segment will open with a question, and each candidate will have two minutes to respond. 
 

Oct. 9 - Second Presidential Debate
Washington University - St. Louis, MO
Moderator - Martha Raddatz, ABC

Format: The second debate will be formatted as a town meeting. Half of the questions will be from citizen participants and the others will be given by the moderator. Each candidate will have two minutes to respond. 
 

Oct. 19 - Third Presidential Debate
University of Nevada-Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV
Moderator - Chris Wallace, Fox News

Format: The third debate will be split into six segments, 15 minutes each. Each segment will open with a question, and each candidate will have two minutes to respond. After which, candidates may then respond to each other.
