“I think the business community is coming to the realization that it has to play the game differently,” says Greg Casey, president of BIPAC.
“Increasingly, business leaders are going to start drawing lines between pragmatic, solutions-minded candidates and those more inclined toward ideology than compromise,” predicts BIPAC’s Casey.
“They may realize that good governing may not come down to difference between red and blue,” Casey says, referring to the color-coding used to tag the Republican and Democratic parties. “It may come down to shares of red and blue. And increasingly, they are becoming aware of those shades.”
